Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Liudmyla Chaban. By creating an account or using Meets, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Meets.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. A date of birth is required when creating or completing registration. If it indicates that you are under 18, you may not register for or use Meets. You must provide accurate information and may not evade an age or safety restriction. You are responsible for complying with the laws applicable to you.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information and keep your credentials and devices secure. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for someone else without permission, share access, or use a sign-in method you are not authorised to control. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us promptly of unauthorised access.

3. The service

Meets helps adults discover and organise social events. Features may change, be unavailable or be limited by location, device, platform or safety requirements. We do not guarantee that an event, user, venue, message, map result or recommendation is accurate, safe, available or suitable for you.

4. Events and real-world safety

Users, not Liudmyla Chaban, generally create and organise events. We do not conduct identity, criminal, health or professional background checks unless expressly stated. Verify information independently, protect your personal information, meet in appropriate public places, tell someone you trust about your plans, and contact emergency services when necessary. You participate in events and communicate with users at your own risk.

5. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Liudmyla Chaban a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute and moderate that content as necessary to operate, secure and promote Meets. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for lawful backups, records and content shared by others before deletion.

You promise that you have the necessary rights and permissions, that your content is accurate enough for its intended use, and that it does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights or the law. Do not upload someone else's photo or personal information without permission.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, discriminate against, doxx, scam, spam or sexually target another person; publish illegal, hateful, violent or exploitative content; involve minors in adult activity; impersonate others; facilitate wrongdoing; manipulate attendance or reviews; scrape or reverse engineer the service; bypass safety or access controls; distribute malware; or use Meets for unauthorised commercial solicitation.

7. Reports and moderation

You can report or block users and content. We may investigate, remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence and cooperate with authorities when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance or protection of the service. We do not promise to monitor everything or to take a particular action on every report. If you believe moderation action was incorrect, contact meets01app@gmail.com.

8. Telegram features

When you connect Telegram or an event chat, Telegram's own terms and privacy policy also apply. You must have authority to connect a chat and must not use Meets to operate an unauthorised bot, invite people without permission or evade Telegram moderation. Telegram functionality depends on Telegram's availability and permissions.

9. Paid subscriptions

Paid features are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. The applicable store controls payment processing, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant store before renewal. Deleting your Meets account does not necessarily cancel a store subscription; manage it separately in Apple or Google settings.

10. Intellectual property and third parties

Meets, its software, branding, design and original materials belong to Liudmyla Chaban or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sell, frame, modify, distribute or commercially exploit the service or our branding without written permission.

Meets uses third-party services for hosting, authentication, payments, email, notifications, maps, image storage and Telegram. We are not responsible for their independent services, content, availability or terms.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meets is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim warranties not expressly required by law, including uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of user-generated content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liudmyla Chaban will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary loss, loss of profits or loss arising from interactions or events arranged by users. Where liability may be limited, our aggregate liability for claims relating to Meets will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for Meets in the previous 12 months or EUR 100, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Meets and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, safety risks, fraud, legal requirements, prolonged inactivity or operational reasons. Clauses concerning content rights, payment obligations, liability, disputes and provisions that by their nature should survive will continue after termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will update the version and effective date and, where required, request renewed acceptance. If you continue using Meets after an update becomes effective, the updated Terms apply to future use.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of laws of Ukraine, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights or alternative dispute-resolution rights that apply to you. Courts with jurisdiction in that place will hear disputes unless applicable law requires another forum.
